Product Details
The Forearm Fulcrum fits onto the forearm and runs all the way to the fingertips. Most paddles change the shape of your hand to affect your stroke; the Forearm Fulcrum instead changes your stroke, ultimately affecting the shape of your hand and forearm. The issue at hand here is called EVF or Early Vertical Forearm. Every coach has dealt with the frustration of a swimmer who constantly grabs a handful of water, inefficiently drops their elbow and throws their hand back. Even if you teach a swimmer to get a clean entry, plane their hand forward, and start to press down with their finger tips, they can still wreck the whole stroke by yanking their hand back. Ideally a swimmer should press their hand, aligning it with their forearm by lifting their elbow, thus creating a single blade from the elbow to the finger tips. This allows a swimmer to take advantage of the entirety of their hand and forearm creating a vast improvement in the effectiveness of their stroke.
